It's the main character of Cave Story, spirited in my android style. He was actually a big influence on my characters' development, as you can probably see from having him right next to Tear. For example, the Polar Star had some influence on Tear's pistol.

Anyway, I wanted to practice doing some different characters in my style, to get some inspiration for civilians and other basic designs.

My bots are comprised of a lot of different character traits from my favorite games.

In addition to this guy and Megaman, they also draw somewhat from Sonic, Sparkster, Samus, Kirby, etc.

If you haven't played Cave Story, I highly recommend it. It's an epic platform RPG adventure that was completely made by one guy, music, coding, sprites, everything. It's what inspired me to try to get into indie game development. The original version is free to download off the creator's website, and you can buy a 3D remake for the 3DS or a lesser remake for the Wii/DSi.

Yes, may be I will play it. And yes, you are right, not only Mega Man, but many others. For example Tank looks a bit like Samus.
