How long did it take you to edit the pixels for the animation? I know it must have took a while to have everything match in movement regarding physics and gravity.

It's easier than it looks. The hardest part was making the actual character sprites. You only have to drag and drop the sprites into the animating software frames to get it to look right.

You do have to watch your positioning, but like I said, it's easier than it looks.

Hmm...maybe I'm using the wrong animator, then. Microsoft GIF Animator doesn't allow me to drag and drop on its program. At least, I don't think so.

That's your problem. I used to use Microsoft, but it was unwieldy and overall unpleasant to use. Now I use Falco GIF animator for my animating software.
